birthday

The birthday of the concert forum is the end of July. This time the birthday activities have started prematurely and the celebrations have also celebrated the anniversary in a special way. There were several interesting series of suggestions for birthday planning that could be followed later. This trend should be intact now.) This time the forum's Birthday Highlights forum aims to cross two million posts. On this occasion, in my special writing, I outlined some future plans for Urdu Web and Urdu Gaming Forum. In the following post, I would like to elaborate more on these projects.

As I mentioned in the article above, we intend to try a new concept, and this concept is to set up several forums instead. The userbase of these forums will be the same, meaning that any user can be logged into all forums through the single sign-on once. Our research has gone far beyond the technical limits to make this idea a reality. We have not only chosen the software platform for it, but also have successfully tested its test installation and Urdu editor integration. But multi-site installation testing is still pending. And most importantly, right now we have to decide what the new site will look like and what its goals are.

I have previously said that hype reaching two million messages and appointing new moderators to gamers is not just a coincidence, it is part of a larger plan. Setting up a new site, which will consist of several forums, will have the advantage of being able to see the results of its success. And this can happen if we move the activity graph upwards on the current gamers forum and its moderators also have a good experience in community management. Technical barriers to the new setup will be resolved sooner or later, but we're not in a hurry to set up a new site. The key in this regard is to determine the purpose of the new forum site.

We want every forum in the new forum site to be planned according to the new requirements before setting it up. For example, before setting up a literary forum, we need to review how we can offer users different views from other literary sites. Also what factors of long-term interest should be included in the forum. We will start consulting on these issues on a public forum soon. Ensuring the success of a serious forum in this age of social media can be a daunting task. But we believe that after overcoming the initial difficulties, the new forum site will become a popular site.

I would also like to mention here some of the details behind the consultation that have been in the form of a personal dialogue for a long time. Saud, Zak, Saadat, Mohammad Waris, and Rakim al-Haraf are participating in the consultation. Initially, our conversation began with a consultation regarding upgrading or migrating the game forum to a new platform. After some consultation we agreed that the game forum should now be rebooted, that is, a new site should be started, while the existing gamers forum will be given red status only after that. In the meantime, the idea of a multi forum site was also a discus that everyone liked and agreed with. Some friends have questions about the current content of gamers in the forum. New forums will be started anew, and old forums will not be migrated. You will also have to register on the new forum. :) Friends who want to be able to copy and post posts from the old forum to the new forum, no problem. There will also be caretakers of the forum in Red Onley. :) One of the highlights of the new forums has to do with the old bitterness. No one will be banned from joining the new site.

Some details also tell you about the forum software we have chosen.) After much deliberation, we have agreed to the use of Discourse Forum Civilization. Discussion on Discovery's features and its calculations require a separate article. At present, I want to elaborate that Discover Next Generation Forum is software and open source. Discovery uses the Ruby on Rails framework and modern web standards. So for the first time, we will move forward using PHP, MySQL, etc. Installing Discover is a complex process. Doctors are used in this. An Urdu translation of the Discover is available, which is very poor in quality, but it is not currently in use. We have also successfully completed the experience of integrating Urdu Editor in Discourse. That is, a complete Urdu forum based on Discover can still be set up. If anyone (or sir) wants to set up the world's first Urdu Discover Forum, they can be happily provided guidance.
